I have a similar problem... I want to do more character design and action comics type stuff, but a lot of my favorite characters were created on this account, which is a bit fetishy (mixed wrestling/fighting). I think what I want to do is create a new account that is just for fanart and character design/non-fetish stuff, and still leave the other account up but not necessarily call attention to them being linked. I'll make the new account my "public face," and if people like my art enough to bother to check out my original account, so be it. Still haven't quite figured it out yet, but that's the plan.
